Chapter Fourteen

Blu

I was nervous, I knew Skie was right, I should talk to Ghost, but I really wasn’t ready to talk to my mother and here she was. We moved to the backyard and was all sitting around a table next to the pool. I had so many memories in this house, it was crazy. I was ready to get Ghost side on things and find out why I was never told. I know they explained, but I have a feeling that my mom had more of a part of keeping it away from me.

“So, Blu I know you may have some questions for me, but first I wanna say I am very sorry for not telling you all these years.” Ghost gave a warm smile, then began to cough.

“I do have questions, but first I wanna know why you didn’t tell me all this time till now?” I said, with sadness in my voice, while I looked at my father.

“I wanted to tell you many times, your mother stopped me every time. She was scared that you would hate her, and never forgive her. This last time I told her I was telling you with or without her in involved. I didn’t want to hurt your guy’s relationship.” I couldn’t place the look he was giving me.

“Why couldn’t you have just gone behind her back and told me before? At least I would know!” I raised my voice, I was beyond frustrated.

“I didn’t want to disrespect your mother. I felt like we should have done it together, but when the doctor told me I was getting worse, instead of better, I knew I had to tell you and Ryder the truth. I am not proud of everything I’ve done; all I have ever wanted to do was make everyone happy, but I failed.” He looked so sad and broken. I wanted to be angry with him, but I couldn’t, I felt like he was telling me the truth. It would have been nice to know before, but better late than never, I guess.

“Well, I forgive you, I guess you were still apart of my life, even though I didn’t know you were my father. But you treated me like a daughter the whole time I was growing up when I came over.” I smiled and walked over to Ghost and gave him a hug.

“I am happy to hear that come from you,” he smiled at me and hugged back. We sat like that for a minute. I saw my mom looking into the backyard with tears running down her face. I wanted to feel bad for her, but I couldn’t.

I got up and we all made out way back into the house, I looked around I always felt safe when I was here. Funny how life turns out sometimes. Ryder have always been my best friend and I’ve always looked at him as my brother, so nothing is really gonna change.

“Blu can I talk to you for a minute alone?” Ryder looked like he has something very important to tell me.
